Ripe red cherry with blackberry and red plum. Low in oak. Stylish. Medium bodied. Red cherry and plum fruit with elegant fruit sweetness and length of flavour. In combination, the food added to the fruit extension of the wine.
Brent Marris
Rich, round fruit and oak aromas. Hints of mocha on the palate, with lovely ripe berry fruit characters. Great with the beef as the palate goes on forever.
Xenia Irwin MW
A closed nose of blackberry fruit. Some tertiary characteristics, with meaty development. Black toasty notes of oak. Riper and more even on the palate. Big and concentrated. Plenty of black fruit on a very attractive and generous full mid palate and into a rich finish. A very good match with the food.
Meg Brodtmann MW
Medium plum in colour. Meaty plum and oaky aromas, with some cassis on the nose. On the palate quite a linear palate with dusty tannins and red fruits. It looked the same with food.
Ken Dobler
A dark brick red colour. Rich plum aromas on the nose and lovely primary fruit, with an excellent length of flavour.
Stephen Fang
Fresh berry on the nose which followed onto the palate. Well-structured with a bit of high acidity.
